TYKES' Board of Directors
TYKES is governed by a Board of Directors which meets quarterly. The Board is responsible for ensuring TYKES:
-
liaises with OSCR, the Scottish Charity Regulator, to ensure that all statutory duties and responsibilities are met.
-
works to achieve its charitable purpose.
-
follows best practice in the financial and general management of TYKES.
We aim to ensure that TYKES has a Board with a diverse range of skills and knowledge which can contribute to guiding and developing our organisation. The Board always welcomes enquiries from those who may be interested in joining us and although previous board experience is beneficial, it is not essential.
In order to help TYKES develop in the future, The Board has identified a number of key skills to complement our current team which include:
-
finance.
-
social media marketing and communications.
-
safeguarding.
-
project management, and
-
social care.
For more information on the roles and responsibilities of a charity trustee, the OSCR website has lots of useful information.
